Workhop Pembuatan Esai dan Poster Ilmiah

Ciri Sebuah Poster Ilmiah : 

1. Visualisasi dari sebuah telaah pustaka, hasil riset & laporan kasus 
2. Gambar lebih banyak daripada kata-kata, (mendominasi poster) 
3. Poster harus mengikuti format standart poster ilmiah 
4. Menggunakan bahasa komunikasi ilmiah

Alat komunikasi dasar : 

1. Teks 
2. Jenis & ukuran huruf 
3. Warna & kualitas fisik 
4. Bentuk & pengaturan bagian-bagian poster 
5. Penyajian data (tabel, gambar, foto)

UKURAN POSTER

1. Poster ukuran tinggi x lebar (80x60 cm) atau (120x90cm) 
2. Harus terbaca dari jarak 1-2 meter 
3. Dibuat dalam format RGB, tiff, jpeg (90- 100cm x 110-120 cm), posisi vertikal atau horizontal

KRITERIA -----:- VISUALS

1. Visilbe (mudah dilihat)
2. Interesting (menarik)
3. Structured ( terstruktur )
4. Useful ( berguna, informative )
5. Accurate ( teliti )
6. Legitimate ( mengikuti peryaratan )
7. Simple ( sederhana )

Title & Authors:

1. Title : Short, Succinct, Specific 
2. Authors : 

• Discuss with mentor, collaborators to determine appropriate inclusions and name order 
• Include institutional affiliations

 Formatting: 

• Centered across top 
• Large, bold font 
• Different sizes, colors to set off 
• Can highlight presenter’s name

Abstract :

Brief summary of your research:

1. Background information
2. Objectives and/or hypotheses
3. Abridged materials & methods
4. Overview of findings

Use text submitted for poster registration! 

Formatting:

1. Upper left corner
2. Smaller font than rest of poster
3. Can italicize text

Background :

Introduce reader to your subject:

• Why is the issue important?
• What has other research shown?
• Basic facts/information about subject 

Formatting:

• Standard font size and style as rest of poster text
• Brief prose, don’t bullet
• Images are helpful

Research Objectives :

Clearly state why you did the project:

a. Specific research question(s)
b. Coordinate with your data & conclusions - questions here are answered in those sections

• “Aims”, “Goals”, “Hypotheses”, etc.
• Keep these short and succinct 

Formatting:

• Standard font size and style as rest of poster text
• Bullets or numbered sentences

Materials & Methods :

a. Exactly what you did and how you did it.

• Tables and diagrams are helpful and visually engaging
• Describe each effort individually:

b. Subject selection, recruitment, randomization,etc.

c. Type of data collected, how collected, statistical analysis

• Images, diagrams
• Sub-titles

Results :

a. Present your data:

• Tables & graphs when possible - don’t hide numbers in text

LANGKAH PEMBUATAN

1. Buat desain poster
2. Rangkum keterangan penting dalam bentuk paragraf pendek di tiap sub judul
3. Cari gambar, diagram (kurva), dan tabel.
4. Pilih aplikasi pembuat poster (corel draw, photoshop, powerpoint dll)
5. Cek terlebih dahulu sebelum di cetak
6. Cetak poster sesuai aturan panitia (kertas/kertas foto/ banner dll)

Poster lmiah merupakan media komunikasi untuk menyampaikan informasi (studi literatur, hasil riset atau studi kasus) kepada pemirsa yang berminat.

Poster ilmiah harus memenuhi format standart (do & don’t) dan kriteria VISUAL (visible, interesting, structured, usefull, accurate, legitimate & simple) agar dapat diterima dengan baik oleh dewan juri dan pemirsa.

Persiapkan dengan baik mulai persiapan, desain, gambar, aplikasi pembuatan poster dan bahan cetak poster.
